We're travelers ourselves. We know the feeling of discovering a new city and searching for that one place you'll want to return to. That's what we've tried to create at Cirkusz — a welcoming space built around great food, specialty coffee, and warm hospitality.
Our Story
Our journey started in 2015 with a small roaster that still stands in the back corner of Cirkusz today.
Since then, Bagira Coffee has grown into one of Hungary’s leading specialty coffee roasters, supplying cafés, restaurants, hotels, and home brewers across the country.
Today, Bagira also has its own specialty coffee shop next door to Cirkusz, serving coffee, matcha, baked goods, and more.
Meet a few of the people who help make Cirkusz what it is every day.
Tibor founded Cirkusz in 2014, inspired by his hospitality experience in both Hungary and the United States. Since then, he has been dedicated to shaping the culture, guest experience, and welcoming atmosphere that define Cirkusz today.
Favourite: Eggs Benedict
Bence has been part of the Cirkusz family since the early days. His passion for cooking began in his grandmother's kitchen and has since led him to become one of Budapest's most respected brunch chefs.
Favourite: Roast Beef Benedict
Ádám has spent more than two decades helping shape Hungary's specialty coffee scene. As the 2018 Hungarian Barista Champion, he oversees coffee sourcing, roasting, and quality at Bagira Coffee. His passion for coffee is contagious — just ask anyone who has shared an espresso with him.
Favourite coffee: Espresso
Edit is one of Hungary's most accomplished baristas. In 2014, she earned 3rd place at the Latte Art World Championship in Melbourne, competing against some of the world's best.
Favourite: Espresso, Filter, or V60Years of dedication, hard work, and countless brunches have earned Cirkusz a place among the World’s Top 25 Brunch Spots. Thanks to the support and reviews of our guests, we were also honored with Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best 2021 award — a distinction reserved for businesses that consistently rank among the world’s top 1%.
